Brief description of the situation

On 08/03/13 at about 5.46pm local time another severe rainstorm hit Walewale township, the capital of West Mamprusi district. The storm left in its wake 4 market women dead when a large tree in the market collapsed on their shed killing them instantly and injuring 40 other persons.
A total of 199 households were destroyed, ripped off the roofs of 259 rooms and displaced 1,072 people.
The storm also affected 5 schools, ripping off the roofs of 16 classrooms and displacing 770 pupils.
